We take a limited number of commissions a year. The process begins with a conversation.
1. Tell us what you’re imagining.
It doesn't need to be precise. A rough idea, a feeling, a space you're trying to fill, a person you want to honor — that's enough to start. Use the form below, or email us directly at studio@featherriver.studio].
2. We’ll talk.
Every commission begins with a real conversation — about what you want, what the wood can do, what a realistic timeline looks like, and what it will cost. We don't hide behind estimates. We'll give you a clear number before anything begins.
3. We’ll find the wood.
This is often the most interesting part. We source locally where we can — sawyers, salvage, standing timber. Sometimes the right piece takes a few weeks to find. It's worth it.
4. We’ll build it.
You'll hear from us as the work progresses. If something unexpected happens — the grain shifts, a better approach presents itself — we'll tell you. We think you should know.
5. We deliver it.
We deliver within the region ourselves. For clients further out, we work with shippers who know how to handle furniture. We don't hand it off to someone who doesn't care.
